Accessibility statement.
AI4Good Foundation is committed to making this website usable by the widest possible audience, including people who rely on assistive technology. Accessibility is a core part of how we think about equity, not an afterthought.
Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. WCAG is the international standard referenced by Section 508 in the United States and by similar laws in many other jurisdictions.
What we have done
- Built the site with semantic HTML (proper headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels) so screen readers can navigate it predictably.
- Provided a visible keyboard focus indicator on all interactive elements, including links, buttons, and form controls.
- Implemented a skip-to-content link so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the navigation on every page.
- Tested color contrast against the WCAG AA thresholds for body text and interactive elements.
- Written descriptive alternative text for images that convey information, and marked decorative images so they are ignored by assistive technology.
- Designed the layout to remain readable when text is resized up to 200 percent and to reflow on small screens.
- Used motion sparingly and respect the user's reduced-motion preference where applicable.
Known limitations
We are honest about the gaps that remain.
- Some third-party embeds we plan to add (for example, a Calendly booking widget for partner intake calls, and hosted donation processors) are not fully under our control. We will choose providers with documented accessibility support and will note any caveats on the pages where those embeds appear.
- We have not yet completed a formal third-party audit. See the next section for our timeline.
- Some downloadable documents (PDFs, slide decks) used for grant materials may not yet meet full PDF accessibility standards. If you need an accessible version of a specific document, please contact us and we will provide one.
Feedback and assistance
If you encounter a barrier on this site, or if you need information in a different format, please email contact@thefoundationai.org. Tell us what you were trying to do, what page you were on, and what assistive technology you were using if applicable. We aim to respond within five business days.
Formal review cadence
We commit to commissioning an annual third-party accessibility audit once the site has substantive public traffic and the first program pilots are live. In the meantime, we run internal reviews with each significant release and welcome feedback from anyone who uses the site.
